What you need

  • An Android TV, Google TV or Android phone/tablet (Android 7 or newer)
  • Your login email
  • A Google account

Recommended player apps

  • TiviMate

Built for TV screens, the best EPG grid on Android TV. Not for phones.

  • IPTV Smarters Pro

Works on TV boxes, phones and tablets with one interface.

  • XCIPTV

Lightweight and fast on older boxes.

Step-by-step setup 8 min

  1. 1

    Open Google Play

On Android TV or Google TV open Apps → Google Play. On a phone or tablet open the Play Store.

  2. 2

    Install a player

Search for the player you picked and install it. If the app is not listed for your device, ask support for a download link and install it with the Downloader app, as on Firestick.

  3. 3

    Choose Xtream Codes login

Open the player and choose Add playlist → Xtream Codes (or Login with Xtream Codes API).

  4. 4

    Enter your login

Type the server URL, username and password from your email. Check for extra spaces before you continue.

  5. 5

    Load the content

Wait while channels, movies, series and the TV guide download. This takes one to three minutes the first time.

  6. 6

    Start watching

Open Live TV, choose a category and select a channel. On phones, rotate to landscape for full screen.

Tips for the best picture

  • Nvidia Shield and the newer Chromecast with Google TV 4K handle 4K channels best.
  • On phones, use Wi-Fi when you can: 4K and Full HD use a lot of mobile data.
  • Turn off battery optimization for the player app on phones so streams don't stop in the background.

Android TV & phones IPTV questions

Does TiviMate work on Android phones?

No, TiviMate is designed for TV screens. Use IPTV Smarters Pro or XCIPTV on phones and tablets.

Do I need a VPN?

It is not required. Some users use one for privacy; if streams slow down with a VPN, try a server closer to you.

How much storage does the app need?

Most players need under 100 MB, plus space for the TV guide cache.
